Happy Birthday to [info]loveanime18 and Happy Belated Birthday to [info]moon_lit_night. :D

Feel a bit better after the weekend. Had a few hiccups along the way (woke up most mornings feeling like the worst person in the world,) but I managed to pick myself back up like a trooper.

That and all the Tidus/Wakka fics I read while sipping Lemon and Ginger tea. *cough*

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. I mean it. :)

I swear this Song meme will be finished this week. I know it's been awhile, sorry. I plan to have it finished by Friday (earlier if possible.) I'll repost it in case anyone who missed it wants to give me a rec.

Give me up to three of my favorite characters/pairings and I'll pick a song for each of them.

Characters/Pairings already been recommended...

-Zack (Final Fantasy 7)
-Sephiroth (Final Fantasy 7)
-Yazoo (Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children)
-Tsuzuki/Hisoka (Yami no Matsuei)
-Riku/Sora (Kingdom Hearts)
-Zack/Cloud (Final Fantasy 7)

I'm open to any suggestions, any at all. :)

Sorry guys, taking a mini weekend hiatus.

This week just seems to have gotten on top of me (not in the good way, trust me) so instead of running you wonderful people down with a long winded emorant, I thought a few wee days off lj would be for the best (that and I cannot even begin to describe the drama in my life right now.)

The last thing I want to do is infect you all with my boohooeyness.

Loomy is officially declaring a chillax prescription after recent frustration, angsting, disappointments and bad news courtesy of Life.

*fails at life* I need to get a better attitude...

Wish you all a Sparkly and Sunshine weekend.

Am now off to put my feet up and continue re-reading Watership Down.

From the Loomeister.

P.S. See you guys on Monday.

Rain, rain, rain today.
Been the heaviest I've seen it in a while.
The burn might actually flood this year. O.o

Woke up a bit distressed this morning. Had one of those "abandonment" dreams, the ones that involve those closest to you seemingly shunning you. I feel like a total sap, but it really got to me, especially with some stuff that's going on in my life right now. I need to get a grip, dammit.

Got my spirits raised, however, when a couple at work said to Charmy I was "a great asset to the company" after all the help I gave them. Complements are so rare nowadays. Gushing, much? *blush*

Do you look forward to returning to work/school on Mondays or do you live for the weekend? What do you enjoy most about weekends? What do you dread most about school and/or work?

I love my job, I really do, but let's face it, people, you can only put up with dealing with customers so long before you feel yourself about to crack. Blend together any personal woes you have and you find yourself gagging for rest. Hence, nothing beats the weekends. :)

The weekend gives me a chance to chillax (damn you, Zack Fair, corrupting my dictionary lol,) bum around Edinburgh with my best friend (ruinating the once glorious Scottish city with our crack,) surf the net to my KINGDOM HEARTS content, video game like it's 1969, catch up on my stimulating, thought provoking literature and whatever else floats my steamboat. :3

Shame they seem to fly by so fast.

Missed a couple of birthdays just there on the weekend during my absence. Happy Belated Birthday to [info]fai_nekoi and [info]halflight007 on Saturday past. And Happy Today Birthday to [info]thiefqueenriyo. :)

Happy Birthday [info]chimyde and [info]sakichi. :)

Loomy is a Dork, First Class. No news flash there.

Today's Dork biscuit?

Mishearing a work colleague, Charmy, asking me if I had ever watched the film, Napolean Dynamite.

Loomy, there is no such film as "Colon Dynamite."

And it sounds pretty damn painful if it does exist. Even as a digestive aid.

And of course they will guffaw you for your error.

You silly dumbapple.

Happy Birthday [info]shy_girl360. :)

Mother lost two of my DS games.

She came into my room while I was at work, turned practically the entire room around (looking for something that ended up OMG being in her room the entire time) and now they are missing. I've looked and looked, but no sight.

What really pisses me off is one of them was the new Kingdom Hearts 358/2 one I had just bought recently.

And she had the nerve to blame me for it going missing. Because I had "too much stuff."

Seriously putting locks on my bedroom door.

If I'm being refused the basic right to move out, the least I can do is feel my own sleeping quarter is secure and free from inconsiderate family members.

The thought of people rummaging in my room during my absence makes me ill.

"Gazpacho soup." To everyone. I blame Rimmer for this. >.<

What? It's the calling card of the First Class Dork, yours truly. :P

Jinkies! Had myself a good old mystery at work today. Had a customer in, confided in me that a certain product she purchased from another company caused side effects similar to a medication allergy she has. Decided I would investigate (in case it was something in the ingredients that needed to be looked at and even reported on.)

Even into the wee hours of the night, I've continued to look at this. I have to say, it's peaked my curiosity and I've learned a lot from what I've researched so far, relevant or not.

So far, I've narrowed the possible cause down to six scenarios. Not bad, considering the countless ingredients I researched for this. Tomorrow, I'm going to report my findings to Bossy and see if the Herbal Folder of Awesome gets updated.

Product Advisor Loomy is on the case. :3

Happy Birthday to [info]punpunichu and [info]tou_toto. :3

Had a really creepy guy in work today. A regular to boot. He browses the shop for ages, asks the most outlandish questions and generally hogs you for answers to said outlandish questions. Asking me what every product in the store does - especially the sex herbs - is not going to amuse me. In fact, it makes me want to ban your ass, sir.

Don't come back.

The fire alarm went off during Night Class tonight and being how Scotland has been baltic today, no fun. waiting for the call to return to the warmth of the class. I think Sephiroth was trying to go all Burnination on our little college tonight. O.o

Still working on the meme suggestions left on the previous entry, but here's a random meme to keep you guys going until I finish. :3

Happy Birthday to [info]sunny_go on the 6th and Happy Today Birthday to [info]hebba18. :D

Another awesome weekend with [info]cosmosin_strife. Went on the Terror Tour in Edinburgh (and lolled) and had a movie marathon (lolled again.) Saw 300 for the first time. Woot.

I swear, they don't make weekends long enough sometimes. :(

By the way, training on Friday? Ended up being the total brainbox of the class, answering a large majority of the questions. In the immortal words of Zack Fair, I was "on fire now." :P

Snagged this meme from [info]halflight007.

Wtf, Life? You like shitting obnoxious customers into my store all week long, don't you?
Then there's the Training Day tomorrow. Ugh.

Please come, Friday night. Please? *sad puppy face*

I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT...

Had douchebag chancer customers all day today.

Had little to no money left until Friday (not even enough for lunch.)

Fretted over personal life matters.

Gave myself a panic attack upon leaving work.

And what lifts my spirits?

Listening to the "We Are" One Piece Theme on the way to Night Class.

I'm such a dork. :P

Bonfire Night tomorrow. Should be nice to see all the fireworks going off. :3

Oh. Still excited for Friday. FRIDAY COME NAO, YES? *flails with excitement.*

If a friend or relative makes a racist or homophobic remark, do you tend to confront them or let it slide? Are you more likely to confront them if it offends you directly or someone else who seems reluctant to speak up?

View 1572 Answers

I do tend to speak up especially if it's a relative that's made the remark. General racism and homphobia really makes my blood boil; in public, I tend to just hold my tongue (and just get away from the person as quickly as possible,) but I will speak up if it's within the family or in the household. To hear such things in the home is unacceptable. And I have heard it within the bloodline before. Grr.

Especially when the "reasoning" for such comments is so damn stupid. *sigh.*

Really, can't you at least attempt to reason your opinion without damn quotes or statistics? Jeez.

And away from that note...

Everytime I say "pal" to customers at work, for a moment, I swear I think I'm channelling this guy.

We heart you Detective Gumshoe. <3

Still emotearing over the training day this Friday. Tedious to the max. At least I can has moar weekend joy at Edinburgh. Belated Halloween Night Walk, yes yes? :3

Had the BEST. HALLOWEEN. EVER.

Seriously. Went to Michi's for a Horror Movie marathon, which mainly consisted of Bubba Ho-Tep and Evil Dead 2. Bruce Campbell for the win. His faces are pure comedy gold. :3

I have another training day at Glasgow for the next upgrade to my job status. Damn. Moar boring. Boo. On the plus side, at least it gives me a chance to visit Forbidden Planet and Borders while I'm there.

I PASSED MY FIRST MATHS TEST AT NIGHT CLASS!! SCORE!!
One less thing to worry over.

Am eating toffee pudding. It is nommy. The Loomeister hath spoken, y'all.

If a friend cracks a corny joke, do you force yourself to laugh politely? What about if it's your boss or teacher? Do you get annoyed if someone else pretends to be amused?

Jeez. Normally, I'M the one that lets the corny jokes or failtastic puns fly.
[info]cosmosin_strife will back this up.
Still not been forgiven for the "much to my sharingan" pun. *facepalm*

Today was "Pizza & Punch" at Holland & Barrett today. Got a free mini pizza for lunch from Pizza Hut, so I chose the Hot and Spicy one. Bless American run companies and their pizza meals. :3

Hetalia moment. Saw Aru Borage cream on the shelf.
GOD. CHINA. >.<

Tomorrow is Halloween. Time flies, doesn't it? I'm still a bit pooped creatively from the Zack cosplay, so I was thinking of whipping up a Heartless mask (from Kingdom Hearts) to tard around in when I take over grace Edinburgh with my delightful presence.

Heartless!Loomy will take to the streets. ;)

I blame Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Bought it yesterday. CANNOT STOP PLAYING IT. The subtext is overwhelming. Even Vexen telling Roxas "You're mine today" made me all subtext i has it face. :P
The Akuroku is delicious. Reminds me of Clack in a strange way. :3

HIATUS ANNOUNCEMENT, FOLKS.

Sorry about the lj absence, flist. Packing for the big move, working away and getting my cosplay finished for Thursday has taken up so much of my free time.

So I've decided to go on a wee mini hiatus until the 27/28th of October (after the Expo.)

By then, the Expo Report will be ready to for all to see, including Dorky Zack and Cloud antics. :3

Until then, keep safe, y'all. :)

Cracked my head off the door. Ow.

Why am I so accident prone? I feel like such a clumsy child.

I feel a lump and my head is sore. ;.;

I'll probably have a really nice bruise form on my forehead by the time of the Expo next week. Zack with a bruised head, lol.

On a similar note, ONE WEEK UNTIL WE GO DOWN TO LONDON FOR THE EXPO!!!!

A seven/eight hour coach ride of poppycock and general cracky shenanigans. (Think we'll get kicked off before we get there?) :P

Get your ass in gear, Loomy, and finish the last remnants (lol see what I did thar?) of the cosplay already. I'm off work this weekend so that'll be the perfect opportunity. :)

And Happy Birthday, [info]leriko_rasen. :D

Hetalia's Taiwan. Why so cute? *feels like a major sap.* <3

For reasons unknown, I just love Taiwan. Though I'm pretty fascinated by her lovely clothes.

Damn you, Hetalia communities for making such adorable Taiwan icons.

Writer's Block: The one that got away

Do you believe in the concept of a soulmate? Do you think you've met him or her? Do you ever worry that "the one" got away?

View 1843 Answers

The concept of a soulmate is romantic and idealistic, allowing people to believe that everyone has someone out there destined to be their other half. Perhaps it's because life is too short and people - only being human - strive to find that special someone to complete their emotional existence and fear that their only true "soulmate" got away.

Being able to find someone who means so much to you, that only they can make you feel so special and whole, is a very fulfilling experience. Love does that to people. If you truly love someone so, you feel they are your soulmate, the only one for you, even if you have been in relationships or had crushes before. That is why I can imagine that losing them or missing the opportunity to tell them how you feel could feel so devasting and tragic to lovers.

Everyone has probably thought about their future other half at some point and if they have missed the chance to connect with them.
